Our products smell good and children may want to take a taste. Although safe and natural, if ingested, your pediatrician should always be your first point of contact. If you cannot contact your pediatrician, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

How long will my Bayberry Naturals products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?

Bayberry Naturals products are made in small batches with the finest, freshest natural ingredients. We recommend that they be replaced 18 months after purchase.

Store creams and oils in a cool, dry dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. This especially important if you are 'stocking up' by buying multiple products. The bathroom is not the best place to store your products but the hall or bedroom closet is.

If you are reusing your pump or bottle, we suggest you sanitize it with rubbing alcohol between uses. Here's how: pour a small amount into your bottle and shake, pump out or squeeze thru the dispensing cap. Leave it to dry completely (overnight is best) on paper towels. The alcohol will evaporate without a trace of residue.

Are your products safe for pets?

Our products are made from natural ingredients that are safe for both humans and pets. Please note, however, that we have never tested our products on animals. Also, our products are not meant for consumption. So, if you have concerns about using a product on your pet or if you have a pet that has ingested a product, your veterinarian is your best resource.

The product I purchased is a little darker (or lighter) than my last bottle, is this normal?

Natural products can vary in scent, color and to some extent texture. As natural ingredients are crop based, there are many [natural] factors that can affect the look of a product based on the growing season, the time of year the ingredient was harvested/processed, etc. These variances are what make natural products unique. Products can darker over time as the herbs become more pronounced; herbs may fall to the bottom of the bottle (simply shake to mix). Essential oils are volatile (evaporate as they release their scent) and you may notice a slight change in the blend. This is normal. Bayberry Naturals essential oil blends are complex and expected to be enjoyed in each stage of the "opening" of our high purity oils.

You recommend doing a patch test, how does it work?

We always recommend doing a patch test prior to using any product. Here's how: First, stop the use of other skin care products and use one type exclusively (one week is best) so that you can get an accurate result. Place a small amount on the inside of the wrist or inner thigh and look for a reaction. If you see any redness, stop using the product immediately. If no redness is observed, continue. Another thing to be aware of is not using too many different products (like wipes, powder, etc.) from different companies so that you can pinpoint where the reaction is coming from.

I used a debit card and my electronic bank statement appears to show I was double charged, is this possible?

No, but on rare occasions, it can temporarily look like this has happened (but no worries, it hasn't).

A debit card works differently than a credit card. When you place an order, the amount of your order is pre-authorized against the card you use. With a credit card, you don't see the pre-authorization on your on-line statement; however, with a debit card, you'll likely see the pre-authorization on your on-line statement. Banks place the authorized amount on hold to ensure the funds are available, and this temporarily appears as a debit.

Once your order is processed (picked, packed and shipped), we charge the order amount against your card. When this happens, the pre-authorization is changed to a charge. Sometimes the authorization continues to show on your statement, in addition to the actual charge. If this happens, you can either wait 24-48 hours for the authorization to be automatically removed by your bank or you can contact your bank. This is function of your bank which isn't under our control, and each bank is slightly different.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Sure, just as long as we haven't sent it already - so call or email us as soon as possible to let us know (203-539-1327 or bayberry@bayberrynaturals.com). If your order has not yet shipped, we're happy to accommodate any changes.

Once you click the Place Order button at the end of the check out process, our fulfillment process begins, so make sure to let us know quickly. We pride ourselves on fast shipping.

Please Help! What if the wrong or incomplete shipping/billing address information was entered during checkout?

No worries, just let us know by sending an email to bayberry@bayberrynaturals.com. We do need accurate and complete shipping addresses to ensure you get your package easily and perfectly. A missing Suite or Apt # can cause a package to be mis-delivered, so let us know about these.

We do use advanced address verification software which will catch simple errors like a mis-typed zip code, assuming you provide us with a correct city and state. If our address verification software doesn't validate an address, we'll contact you.
